This all began in 2010, when a pint-sized rescue pup named Pickles
claimed my lap—and my heart—in the UAE. From the moment she curled up beside me, I knew it was going to be us against the world. She was sassy, and had serious standards—especially when it came to food.

Despite my best efforts (and yes, I cooked like I was trying out for MasterChef: Dog Edition), she barely touched her meals. Towards the end, when she was sick, I’d spend hours trying to whip up something—anything—she’d eat. My fridge? A chaotic maze of containers. My freezer? A frozen tundra of “maybe she’ll eat this.” Cling wrap was my BFF, and the bin was always full of rejected dinners. It was stressful, messy, and filled with trial-and-error—and I knew I couldn’t be the only one going through it.

That’s when the product idea’s for doggistyle came to life. I wanted to create clever, functional products for dog parents who are doing the most—because we love them like kids, and we deserve a little help. Our first products were designed to make mealtime and travel easier, tidier, and a whole lot cuter (and yes, cling-wrap free).

Some of our OG products even have roots in my first brand, Pooch + Pup, also inspired by Queen Pickles herself. She’s no longer by my side, but she’s in everything we do—every lick-proof lid, every travel tote, every cheeky pun.
